The project will bring together the know-how from energy technology and farming technology in order to develop three innovative solutions for the greenhouse sector.
The solutions are based on previous studies from the EU Horizon 2020 funded project H-DisNet (ID 695780), including the potential of a thermo-chemical storage and transport of energy using low-temperature residual heat from industry and from renewables. The specific innovation is related to the phase change between water and water vapor, and can be used in greenhouses for humidity control, for higher energy yields during the heating period or for improved withdrawal of heat in cooling applications.
