The 2nd General Assembly of TheGreeFa Consortium

On 29th and 30th of September 2021, TheGreeFa Partners met in ZHAW’s facilities in Winterthur (Switzerland) for the 2nd project meeting. The Consortium discussed progress after the 1st year of the project and plan for the future work.

The 1st day started with discussion on the developed TheGreeFa technologies and activities related to the demonstrators in Switzerland and Tunisia.
During a break, Serena Danesi (Project Coordinator and host of the meeting) invited the partners to sightsee ZHAW’s labs. In a short trip the partners had a possibility to see in the lab the dryer used in TheGreeFa, but also other interesting projects that ZHAW works on.
For the rest of the day activities related to dissemination, exploitation and case studies were discussed. Options of trainings of stakeholders to organise and future exploitation plans for TheGreeFa system were analysed.
At evening Partners took part in a social dinner enjoying the opportunity to meet everyone face to face and talk to each other in person.

The 2nd day of the project meeting started with discussion on the works related to modelling and control strategy for TheGreeFa system.
Then, the Partners talked about analysis of the current European greenhouse market and potential customers for TheGreeFa technology. Further, discussion was focused on collection of data needed for the analysis of environmental and socio-economic impacts of TheGreeFa project.
At the end, the Project Coordinator led the discussion about activities related to the project’s management and preparation for the next meeting that will be organised at the end of the 1st reporting period, right before the project’s review meeting with representatives of the European Commission.
As the final point of the 2nd General Assembly, the Partners transferred to the Swiss TheGreeFa demonstrator in the greenhouse of Meyer Orchideen AG, near to Zurich. The demonstrator and already installed parts of the system, like the absorber were presented to participants of the meeting.
